Hockney Style Joiners

Hey its me again! In this blog post I will be exploring into photography and some of David Hockney’s photomontages and how mine our different and the kind of messages I am trying to send. Well first of all, David Hockney's photomontages are very abstract, mine are abstract as well but not as much, and not in the same way.

Images can send different messages, positive, negative, joyful, morningful, energetic, sleepy. Different images all send different messages some send one, some can send many. In positive photos the images are usually brighter. Negative images are more dark and not as vibrant and show more sadness then joy!

The message that my photo montage is trying to send is a athletic/nature theme, as you can see the basket ball hoop resembles athleticism and the beautiful background shows nature. The real messages behind athleticism and nature that is being show cased is that people think of basketball as a city sport, I am showing my interpretation of what basketball is to me.

2016 Aspirations

Hey guy in spirt of new some goals I want to attain during 2016 is, have my parents win the publishing clearing house, to start saving up money to go to an NBA game in senior year, get a A in Ms. Nagatori's english class, Go visit my Gram and uncle and auntie guys in California!, and finally play more basketball to get better and with hold my 60 minutes a day.

Although I really do want to do all of my 2016 task list that I have set the one I want the most is to have my parents win the publishing clearing house (PCH). Why? you may ask, Well my Mom has been entering since she has been 13 for her mom and I know it would mean a lot to her to win and plus who doesn't like a little extra cash.

Some of the steps I will take to ensure that my mother at least has a chance to win, there is a lot of people that enter the odds are probably some where along 1 and a million but doesn't stop my family from trying. I will some always enter for her if she is busy working, i will remind her to enter and make sure she enters every day!

Hey guys its me so if you haven't already go check out my games above. So recently we have been experimenting with Scratch coding, and those are the two game I have been working on. It has been really awesome. So the first thing i am going to be talking about is the experience I have had with games and how it affect my game, well first of all my hatred from a buggy game led me to make sure my game wasn't bugging out on my players, I mean who likes a buggy game, nobody right. So one other thing was to make my game completely possible to win cause I just hate it when you just play a game and it is impossible to win.

So in my game designing I didn't want to games to be the same you I design them totally differently by have one kind modern city, the other was designed to be like a colorful future theme. Also i wanted the games to be a different, work differently and overall be unique.

Invention Commercial

P2T10_invention from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

Hey guys I am back in this blog post I am going to describe my team’s main goals for this the invention commercial, then I am going to explain our best “team moment” and During post-production editing, who did what & why during production Our teams goal was to exceed the expeditions. We wanted to have a funny while still keeping its interesting and describing factor. Basically the is a list of all the things we wanted.
  1. Funny
  2. Still video clips
  3. Great audio
  4. Interesting
  5. Describes what are product does and why you need it
  6. Entertain the audience
We did okay on some of the goals but I am not going to lie we did not achieve some of our goals hoped. But overall it came okay and pretty funny!

So my team overall best team moment was was film. We had a lot of fun doing this, because of all of the mess ups and funny extra scenes were really funny. I think it made our team bond greater cause we all laugh together and shared thought witch was great :)! Our funniest scene was probably the part where we were trying to sing the theme song. We had so many of these clip caused it took us so long to get it perfect, once we got back to our computer it was really fun to watch.

My team was Zephen, Jaesha and I during post-production we had lots of cool ideas. We divided the editing up into 3 sections, editing and trimming of clips, transitions, and audio. In our post-production Jaesha and I did all of the video trimming and Zephen did transitions and audio. During this we had lots of fun and all found out new and more precise ways to do things.

Composition Scavenger Hunt

P2T10_Composition_2015 from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

Hey I am back with another blog post, so lets get started recently in my class we have gone over composition techniques and in this blog post I am going to be talking about which one I think is the most important and why? Which is most difficult? and how people can use it more, and finally I will describe teammates & tell you who did what? So first of all I believe the most important one was is using rule of third I believe this important because it is very common and it difference from a novice and a pro because it show that you don't just get straight center photos instead adding technique.

The most difficult technique to perfect I believe is unusual angles. I believe this because it can either make it look weird or cool it is pretty hard to prefect because you don't always know what is best. But with trial and error you can make something really cool that interest your viewers. Well at least that is what I believe but everyone has their own opinion

My teammates were Zephen Kaneakua, and Jaesha Mata my teammates were helpful and diverse witch lead us with all new cool ideas. Zephen was the actor but he did also swap out and do some editing and filming. Jaesha was the main director. Me Mike Perry did the A-roll and majority of the editing. This was a very fun and educational project and i would love to do something like it again! that is all for today hope you enjoyed

Cracking the Code

Yes, I do think everyone should learn to code because it is only going to help your future. Technology is taking over more and more in our every day lives. It can only help you in any career path. The need for computer scientists will only grow and even if you don't want to be a computer scientist it could still be beneficial. You could use what you know to make a program for your own business. You could use what you know just to make your own personal daily quests quicker and more efficient.

My 1st experience working with code was fantastic. It was very fun, while some were tricky it was very doable with some effort. As I went along with the activity that I did in my class it got harder, but I did get better. My very favorite lesson was level 20 on the hyper link. We got to free styler code witch I really enjoyed. We made cool designs got of coding and had lots of fun.

If I could design and code my own game, I am just saying that before I start that it would awesome maybe the best game ever. Well first of all the major advantage I would have making my game would be that I an a youth so could relate to what the youth population enjoys play. My game would be a surfing game where you control mobile device by moving it side to side and up and down riding and getting barreled like a real life. But this wouldn't be the whole game thy just a part. In my game you can pick any activity that you like such as skating, basketball, surfing like I mentioned

My Humorous Monologue

PerryM_Comedy from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

My humorous monologue, it was every fun to make and while having all of my fun I also learned some new things. Some of the new things I have learned were what B-roll, what an editing timeline was in imovie and lots of other things such as voice over, what importing media is, imovie events and also what an imovie project is!

So as you have noticed I have made my comedic monologe. During this every fun and important project I have learned a very crucial part of my video's was the pad. Pad is the 1...2...3... seconds before starting your clip and before ending. This is very important beac because se if you don't do this it sounds unpleasant and even sometimes cuts off  little part of your clip, trust me I know this from experience. Well what I am saying is that I had to redo a few of my clips because of this so if you or a friend are planning to this this would be a great tip!

My weakness's on this project were editing and trying to make it perfect. On a couple of my clips you can even see a little part of my A-roll. while this was tricky but I feel next time I can master this because this time I was a novis to imovie and enjoyed it a lot! My strengh's on this project were fliming and getting that perfect aduio. I think this a very crucial but but fairaly for the most part! Well this was my comedic monologe and goodbye till next time.
